Tests Performed
GL's voice quality assessment software compares the degraded voice file, which has been transmitted over the wireless network, with the appropriate reference file and provides an assessment of the 'end-to-end' voice quality that is being achieved. The GL VQT software can be configured to provide manual or automatic voice quality analysis via any of the three most widely accepted voice quality standards, PAMS, PESQ and PSQM. The GL VQT can also be provided more detailed audio waveform and spectral analysis of issues such as speech level, noise, jitter, latency and clipping to allow more detailed investigations to be undertaken. |
Summary
GL's Voice Quality testing solution (VQT) provides voice quality assessment, using industry standards including PESQ, PAMS and PSQM, as well as audio analysis, to perform detailed measurements such as jitter, clipping, noise and latency measurements. Capable of testing on a variety of cellular networks, including GSM, GPRS, UMTS and CDMA, the GL Wireless VQT solution provides the perfect tool for helping to understand end-to-end voice quality and the effect of issues such as codec compression and packetisation. |
