GL Communications' PC Based OC-3/STM-1 solution allows the user to turn his PC or Laptop into a powerful OC-3 or STM-1 analyser. These high performance analysis cards can add and drop T1, E1, T3 or STS-1/STM-0 signals to or from an OC-3/STM-1 signal. Able to monitor and generate Sonet and SDH Alarms and Errors, as well as internally generate BERT patterns in all frame modes, GL's OC3/STM1 card is a valuable tool for developers and integrators.

Tests Performed
Capable of utilising internal, external and recovered clock signals, the GL OC-3/STM-1 PC based solution provides real time monitoring control of all the major Sonet and SDH overheads, alarms and errors. GL's STM-1 Ultra Card is capable of selecting individual T1/E1's to be added/dropped or transmitting on user defined E1 or T1 trunks whilst all the remaining E1's or T1's within the STM-1/OC-3 are either looped or broadcast. |
