Fortissimo Digital Network Load Generator

The Fortissimo Digital is a DS3 network load generator that simulates telephony subscribers placing calls on a digital network.  Offering multiplexing and demultiplexing to T1, E1 and STM-1 line rates, each span can be used to simulate SS7, CAS and Primary rate ISDN users via software selectable parameters.  Utilising flexible software configurations and user-defined call scripts, the Fortissimo Digital offers users high volume call generation and the ability to simulate a range of call scenarios that emulate those seen in real networks.

Tests Performed

The actions of each subscriber are independently controlled through a parameter field defined within the user programmed scripts, allowing emulation of real-life scenarios to allow the lines to be tested for such issues as signalling, dialling, voice over packet, voice quality (GMOS,G-PESQ, R-Factor), digit decoding, tone sending, audio generation, path verification and tone reception.  Extended features such as fax call simulation and echo analysis are available as optional.
