The Ameritec Model AM3-QoS 2-wire responder provides users the capability of centrally testing their network for Quality of Service metrics.  Calls are originated from a central point and answered automatically by each AM3-QoS.  Each unit runs through a sequence of pre-programmed test scripts that are synchronised with the host site and measurements that include GMOS, G-PESQ, G-PSQM, R-Factor, jitter, delay, etc. are made and displayed

Tests Performed

Activated upon the detection  of a ring signal the AM3-QoS responds immediately running a sequence of preprogrammed QoS scripts.  The central test location will typically be an Ameritec Fortissimo or Allegro product, which can be quickly and easily configured to run a number of scripts emulating real-life traffic flows and scenarios.

Summary

The Ameritec's AM3-QoS 2-wire Responder provides a solution for checking voice quality to locations where it would otherwise be impossible to reach.  Automatically responding to any Ameritec's range of network load generators, the AM3-QoS runs through a sequence of QoS scripts.  Users can now understand the quality achievable across their network even when economic or logistical limitations mean that the deployment of numerous full generators would not be feasible.
